We remember how much of a storm there was with Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter. At the time, everyone ridiculed his decision and said that he would lead the platform to ruin. It’s been more than a year since then, and it’s the perfect time to see how Elon Musk’s X is doing.

Twitter / X – how the fate of the platform turned out

Musk is a controversial figure who can be loved or hated. However, there is no denying that he knows how to create and grow companies. Many Internet users predicted that not a few months would pass and Twitter would go completely bankrupt. Despite the resolute backlash, the billionaire did his job and made the changes he thought were right. Naturally, he made plenty of mistakes along the way. He explained this by the fact that this is a completely new project for him and he has no experience in creating a platform of this type.

The biggest evolution that was introduced was a complete name change from Twitter to X. This was quite a controversial move and many people could not imagine using that particular name. How did this affect the portal’s performance?

How many visits does Elon Musk’s X record?

After some time and a closer look at the statistics, it turns out that all the hype surrounding the Twitter acquisition has worked out for the platform. For the past few months, Elon Musk’s app has been scoring more and more visits.

According to the data, X recorded 9.6 billion visits this January. This is an increase of about 500 million compared to December.

Looking purely at the numbers, it all looks excellent. Unfortunately, the fact is that a whole bunch of big companies that paid for advertising have pulled out of X. In addition, we lack data on new users or earnings generated by the company. It’s impossible to tell from the chart whether more and more users are coming to the platform, or whether those who are already there are using the app more often.

Experts also agree that X’s continued growth in popularity is almost certain. All indications are that after Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, the app has had its worst time. Will this be the case? The billionaire has already shown more than once that we can’t be 100% sure of anything.
