Apple unveiled refreshed iPads and accessories at yesterday’s conference. The Cupertino-based company began its presentation with the latest iPad Air. It will be available in two variants – 11 and 13 inch. As for the new iPad Pro – here the biggest change was the Ultra Retina XDR screen with OLED matrix used in this model. We also received a new M4 chip and even an extreme slimmed down case. In addition, the Apple Pencil Pro and keyboards for the aforementioned tablets were introduced.
It’s expensive, but without a charger
It’s just a pity that Apple, traditionally hiding behind environmentalism, has only complicated matters by removing chargers from new iPad models sold in the EU and the UK. Interestingly, in addition, from the new iPad Pro disappeared…. wide-angle lens – its place was taken by an improved Lidar scanner.
From a consumer’s perspective, it’s sad that buying a flagship tablet for £5299 in the box won’t get a charger. The Cupertino-based company has decided that this year’s devices in the aforementioned regions will only come with a charging cable. Admittedly, this should not be a problem for people who already use chargers with fast charging. However, not everyone carries a 140W charger in their backpack at all times and prefers to use a charger from, for example, a phone.
We know that all iPhones around the world come without a charger. But for a long time, when you bought an iPad Air or iPad Pro, you always received a charger in the box. So why remove the chargers from just those two regions, and not all of the world? Ask me, and I’ll ask you. I just quietly hope that Apple doesn’t come up with the brilliant idea of removing chargers from MacBooks as well. On the other hand, what do I think about the fact that the new iPad Pro and Air will not have chargers included? Well at least it’s environmentally friendly….
No words.
