A little refreshment?

XFX has unveiled on JD.com a new, thoroughly redesigned variant of AMD’s top gpu – the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana. The card was admittedly shown only in a short teaser, but we learned various details about the GPU. The cooling design and PCB alone show what changes from the regular RX we are dealing with. The company has even created a page for pre-ordering the card. It is on this page that a certain number of gamers can pre-order the RX – with an additional discount.

Four-slot monster

Unfortunately, none of the available renders show the entire card. However, we can see that the gpu uses a design based on a powerful radiator, combined with triple fans, measuring 346 mm. In addition, the Rx is 132 mm wide and 68 mm high (that’s about 3.5/4 slots). As for the “guts,” meanwhile, the XFX Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana received a Navi 31 XTX chip paired with 24 GB of GDDR6 memory and a core clocking of 2615 MHz (OC).

Focusing on the cooling we notice how…. it is powerful. The chip that received the RX 7900 XTX is Ghost Thermal 4.0, which contains 216 aluminum fins and also eight 6 mm thick copper heat pipes. In addition, the chip has a massive vacuum chamber base plate covering the GPU and VRAM modules. The company even claims to have used Honeywell’s top-quality PTM 7950 thermopads, which provide a thermal conductivity of 8.5W/mk.

On the IO Panel, which has been completely covered with matte black paint. We can easily see that it will be a 3.5/4 slot design. The ports? – 3x DisplayPort 2.1 and 1x Hdmi.

RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana – and why so expensive?

As for pricing, the card will officially cost $1090. However, those who pre-order it will receive the aforementioned discount. This is quite a lot for the RX 7900 XTX, plus it is not known whether sales of the card will be limited to Asian markets, or whether the GPU will also hit “our” store shelves.

Niezwykle uparta jednostka zamieniająca kawę i sen w kod (przeważnie działający). Interesuję się nowinkami technologicznymi, szeroko pojętym softwarem, programowaniem i automatyką przemysłową. W wolnych chwilach (o ile takie posiadam) rysuję, czytam thrillery i uwielbiam muzykę elektroniczną.
