YouTube is currently the largest platform for sharing and watching videos and live reports. For many years, it built a leading position in the market, earning huge money from embedded content. It is worth mentioning the possibility of buying an annual plan, which saves about 20% compared to monthly payments. In the case of the individual plan for a year, the subscription costs about PLN 249.99, and the family plan costs about PLN 449.99.

YouTube is making significant changes to the pricing of its Premium service, which offers ad-free content viewing and background playback. The increases are up to 30% compared to existing rates, and early users are already receiving email notifications on the matter.
In correspondence to subscribers, YouTube explains, “This is not an easy decision for us, but the price change will allow us to continue to improve our premium service and support the creators and performers you watch on YouTube.”
Importantly, users must agree to the new pricing terms. If they do not accept, YouTube Premium subscription will be automatically disabled.

When will the new prices take effect?
Existing subscribers have until May 2025 to make a decision, which means that for the next few weeks fees will be charged at the old rates. Acceptance deadlines vary, however:
- Some users must accept the new price list by May 5
- Others were given a deadline of May 19
- Some have time even until the end of May
For the latter, the new prices will be effective for payments falling on or after June 1, 2025.
It is worth noting that new users who just decide to subscribe to YouTube Premium will be billed according to the new price list with immediate effect.
